Hi, I’m Marcus Lewis. To me, church is about family – a place where we can be honest about struggles and celebrate our joys in the light of God’s grace. I have the privilege of serving as Pastor here at First Baptist Church – Tehachapi, and my heart is to see community grow deep in the Word while living out the Gospel in our daily lives.

Beyond the pulpit, I love grabbing a coffee or lunch and hearing people’s stories, so if you’re new around here, please come say Hi! I am passionate about building community where people can be honest about their struggles and find belonging in the family of God. My family and I are so grateful to call this community home, and we’d love for you to join us on the journey.

Passions: My wife Kaitlyn and my family (son and 2 dogs), biblical theology, volleyball, hiking, cooking, reading, history and relaxing.

 

Ministry Philosophy: I’m driven by the belief that the Church should be the most hopeful place in the city.
